Cycle and ovulation
The two-week wait is the roughly 9 to 14 days between ovulation, insemination or embryo transfer and the pregnancy blood test. Symptoms during this time come mostly from progesterone, whether or not you are pregnant, so they cannot predict the result. Testing early at home often causes distress from misleading results.
