Clomiphene citrate encourages the pituitary to release more FSH so that a follicle matures. It has been used for decades and is still prescribed in Australia, though letrozole is now often preferred for polycystic ovary syndrome. Monitoring reduces the chance of several follicles growing at once. Dosing and suitability are decided by your treating doctor.
