Donor conception
A known donor arrangement involves a person the recipients already know. Clinics require independent counselling for everyone involved, and often legal advice, covering expectations about contact, the donor's role, and what happens if circumstances change. Private arrangements made outside a clinic carry different legal and health screening risks. Assisted reproductive treatment, donor and surrogacy law differs between Australian states and territories. Check the rules that apply where you live and where your clinic is located.
