Treatment
Egg collection is done under sedation or light general anaesthetic given by an anaesthetist. You will be asked to fast beforehand and to have someone take you home afterwards, and you should not drive or make important decisions that day. Anaesthetist fees are often billed separately and can be a significant out-of-pocket cost.
