Unexplained infertility

Unexplained infertility is the label used when ovulation appears normal, semen analysis is within reference ranges, and the fallopian tubes and uterine cavity look normal, yet pregnancy has not happened. It is a diagnosis of exclusion and reflects the limits of current tests rather than the absence of any cause. Many people with unexplained infertility conceive naturally with more time; others are offered ovulation induction with timed intercourse, IUI or IVF depending on age and duration of trying.
