Agonist trigger

A GnRH agonist used instead of hCG to mature eggs and cut OHSS risk.

Medicines & protocols

An agonist trigger produces a short natural-style LH surge that clears quickly, markedly reducing the risk of severe ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome. Because it also shortens luteal support, it is generally paired with freezing all embryos or with modified luteal support.
