Beta hCG blood test

Quantitative beta hCG is measured about nine to 14 days after transfer or IUI, then often repeated 48 hours later. A rise of roughly two-thirds or more over 48 hours is reassuring, though single values vary widely. A slow rise or plateau needs follow-up because it can indicate early loss or an ectopic pregnancy.
