Pregnancy after treatment
A rise of less than about two-thirds over 48 hours raises concern about a failing pregnancy or an ectopic, but some healthy pregnancies rise slowly. Repeat testing and ultrasound clarify the picture, and clinics follow this carefully rather than waiting.
