Fresh embryo transfer

Transfer during the same cycle as egg retrieval.

IVF & IUI

A fresh transfer takes place two to six days after retrieval. It shortens the time to a result but happens in a body still affected by stimulation, which is one reason clinics may prefer freezing when oestradiol levels or OHSS risk are high.
