Testosterone is produced in the testes under LH stimulation and acts locally at very high concentrations to support sperm production. Taking testosterone as medication or supplement suppresses the pituitary and can stop sperm production entirely — sometimes irreversibly. Discuss any testosterone use with a physician before trying to conceive.
