The Assisted Reproductive Technology (Regulation) Rules set out the operational detail under the ART (Regulation) Act, 2021, including clinic and bank registration requirements, staffing, record keeping, consent forms and reporting to the National ART & Surrogacy Registry. The Rules have been amended more than once since 2022, including a further amendment notified in 2026. Because the Rules are updated by gazette notification from time to time, this glossary does not state which specific conditions are in force at any given moment.
