AMH testing measures anti-Müllerian hormone, which is produced by small growing follicles and reflects the size of the remaining egg pool. Unlike FSH it can usually be taken on any day of the cycle, though hormonal contraception can lower the result slightly. Laboratories report AMH in different units, so compare results from the same laboratory where possible.
