Antiphospholipid syndrome (APS)

Antiphospholipid syndrome is diagnosed when specific antibodies are found on two occasions at least twelve weeks apart, together with a history of clots or particular pregnancy complications. It is one of the few consistently treatable causes of recurrent miscarriage, usually managed in pregnancy with low-dose aspirin and heparin under specialist supervision.
