Cervical stenosis is narrowing of the passage through the cervix, sometimes after surgery such as a LLETZ or cone biopsy. It can make passing an embryo transfer catheter harder. Clinics manage it with a mock transfer beforehand, softer or specialised catheters, gentle dilation or, occasionally, transfer under anaesthetic.
