Congenital uterine anomaly

Congenital uterine anomalies include septate, bicornuate, unicornuate and didelphys (double) uteruses, formed as the reproductive tract developed before birth. Many cause no problems at all; some are associated with a higher chance of miscarriage or preterm birth. They are usually identified on 3D ultrasound, MRI or hysteroscopy.
