Donor sperm

Sperm donated by another person, used in IUI or IVF.

Donor treatment & family building

Donor sperm is used where there is no or unusable sperm, where there is a serious genetic condition, and by single women and female same-sex couples. In South Africa donor sperm is supplied through registered sperm banks and clinics, with donor screening and quarantine requirements, and is used with IUI, IVF or ICSI. Counselling before treatment is standard practice.
