Pregnancy after treatment
A fetal heartbeat is normally detectable on a transvaginal scan from around six to seven weeks. Seeing it substantially reduces the chance of miscarriage, though it does not remove it. If it is not yet visible at a very early scan, a repeat scan a week or so later is often arranged rather than drawing conclusions immediately.
