Generic substitution

South African pharmacists may offer a generic containing the same active ingredient unless the prescriber has indicated otherwise. With fertility injectables, the device and presentation can differ even where the ingredient is the same, so if a substitution is made, ask the pharmacist to show you how the new device works and confirm the change with your clinic.
