Gonadotropins are injectable medicines containing FSH activity, sometimes with LH activity, used to grow follicles in IUI and IVF cycles and occasionally to support sperm production in men. Several brands are registered in South Africa, and pens, cartridges and powder-plus-solvent presentations differ from one another. Always follow the instructions for the exact product you have been dispensed, and ask your clinic or pharmacist before substituting a different brand.
