Controlled ovarian stimulation is the deliberate use of gonadotropins, with medicines to prevent an early LH surge, so that several eggs mature together and can be collected in one procedure. The dose is chosen from age, AMH, antral follicle count and any previous response, and is adjusted during the cycle according to monitoring.
