High ovarian response

A large number of follicles developing, raising the risk of OHSS.

IVF & IUI

A high response means many follicles develop, often with high oestradiol levels. It is more common in PCOS, in younger patients and where AMH is high. Clinics manage it by lowering the dose, using an antagonist protocol with an agonist trigger, freezing all embryos and monitoring closely for symptoms of OHSS.
