Mosaicism

Mosaicism is the presence of two or more cell populations with different chromosome make-ups in one individual or embryo. In embryo testing it complicates results, because a small biopsy may not represent the whole embryo. Mosaicism also occurs naturally in people, sometimes without any effect.
