Pregnancy after treatment
A multiple pregnancy carries higher risks of preterm birth, low birth weight, high blood pressure, gestational diabetes and admission to neonatal care, and requires more intensive antenatal monitoring. Because fertility treatment increases the chance of multiples, transferring a single embryo is the main way to reduce this risk.
