Out-of-pocket costs

Out-of-pocket costs include co-payments, medicines not covered, anaesthetic and theatre shortfalls, freezing and storage, add-ons, and travel and accommodation where treatment is in another city. Adding these up before starting, and building in the possibility of more than one cycle, prevents unpleasant surprises mid-treatment.
