Solo parent

Solo parents by choice pursue treatment without a partner, most often using donor sperm with IUI or IVF, or donor eggs with a surrogacy arrangement. South African clinics provide this treatment with the same screening and counselling as for couples, and counselling often covers practical support networks and how the child's origins will be explained.
