Genetics
A balanced translocation carrier has all the usual genetic material but arranged differently, so they are typically healthy. Problems arise in eggs or sperm, which may carry unbalanced amounts, leading to failed implantation or repeated miscarriage. It is found on karyotype and can be managed with PGT-SR or by using donor gametes.
