Recurrent loss warrants investigation: parental karyotype, antiphospholipid antibodies, thyroid function, blood glucose and assessment of the uterine cavity. Around half of couples find no cause, and even then the chance of a future successful pregnancy remains reasonably good. Be cautious about unproven immune treatments marketed for this situation.
