Luteal phase support

Luteal support is usually vaginal progesterone pessaries or gel, sometimes injections or tablets, started around the time of egg collection or before a frozen transfer and continued into early pregnancy. It compensates for the effect of IVF medicines on natural progesterone production. Follow the stop date your clinic gives rather than stopping early.
