Conditions
Torsion causes sudden severe one-sided pelvic pain, often with nausea and vomiting. The risk is slightly increased after ovarian stimulation because the ovaries are enlarged. It requires urgent hospital assessment and usually surgery to untwist and preserve the ovary. Do not wait for a routine clinic appointment if this happens.
