Testing
Sterile saline is gently instilled into the uterus during a transvaginal scan, separating the walls so polyps, submucosal fibroids and adhesions become visible. It is quick, done without anaesthetic, and often used before IVF where the cavity needs a clearer look than a standard scan gives.
