Fertility basics
The endometrium grows under oestrogen and matures under progesterone, becoming receptive for a short window each cycle. Its thickness and pattern are measured on ultrasound during treatment. A thin or unusual lining can sometimes be improved, but lining measurement alone does not decide whether a transfer will work.
