Female fertility
Chronic endometritis is ongoing, usually symptom-free inflammation of the endometrium, generally caused by bacteria. It is diagnosed on an endometrial biopsy examined for particular immune cells, sometimes with hysteroscopy. It is often treated with antibiotics. Its role in implantation failure is an active research area, so testing is not routine for everyone.
