Empty follicle syndrome

Empty follicle syndrome describes a collection where follicles appeared normal on scan but no eggs were obtained. It is uncommon and is sometimes explained by a problem with the timing or administration of the trigger injection, which is why clinics check exactly when and how the trigger was given.
