Frozen embryo transfer (FET)

In a frozen embryo transfer, an embryo frozen by vitrification is warmed and placed in the womb in a later cycle, once the lining has been prepared naturally or with medicines. Modern freezing gives high survival rates, and FET allows the body to recover after stimulation, permits genetic testing beforehand and avoids transferring when OHSS risk is high.
