IVF & IUI
In a medicated (also called artificial or hormone replacement) FET, oestrogen is used to thicken the womb lining and progesterone is then started to make it receptive, with the transfer timed from the day progesterone begins. It gives clinics maximum control over scheduling and is standard where cycles are irregular or absent. Medicines must be continued exactly as prescribed, since stopping early can end the cycle.
