PGT-A screens embryos for aneuploidy so that embryos with the expected chromosome number can be prioritised for transfer. It may reduce the chance of transferring an embryo that cannot implant, but it does not create better embryos, and for many patients it has not been shown to increase the overall chance of a baby per egg collection. It adds cost, requires freezing and can leave no embryo suitable for transfer.
