Fertility preservation
Chemotherapy, radiotherapy and some surgery can reduce or end fertility. Australian guidance is that fertility should be discussed before treatment starts, with urgent referral for egg, sperm, embryo or tissue freezing where time allows. Options differ by age, diagnosis and how quickly treatment must begin.
