Method
- Step 1. In a bowl, mix the turkey mince, breadcrumbs, egg and half the garlic, then season and shape into 16 meatballs.
- Step 2. Heat the oil in a large pan and brown the meatballs on all sides for 5 minutes, then set aside.
- Step 3. In the same pan, fry the onion and remaining garlic for 5 minutes until softened.
- Step 4. Add the chopped tomatoes and basil, bring to a simmer, then return the meatballs to the pan.
- Step 5. Cover and simmer for 15–20 minutes until the meatballs are cooked until piping hot throughout with no pink meat remaining.
- Step 6. Meanwhile, cook the pasta in a large pan of boiling water according to the packet instructions.
- Step 7. Drain the pasta and serve with the meatballs and sauce while hot.
