Identity-release donor

A donor whose identifying details can be requested by donor-conceived adults.

Donor conception

UK donors registered since 1 April 2005 are identity-release: a donor-conceived person can apply to the HFEA for the donor's identifying information from age 18. Check the HFEA for any changes to these rules.

Also known as: identifiable donor, open-identity donor, ID-release donor
