Reproductive ageing

The gradual decline in fertility with age.

Fertility basics

With age, the number of eggs falls and a higher proportion carry chromosomal errors, which lowers the chance of pregnancy and raises the chance of miscarriage. Sperm quality also changes with age, more gradually. Individual experience varies widely.
